This is such a good word… needed this! Going to share this with some people who need encouargement. Thanks for being a blessing!

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain…” [Hebrews 6:19]

The cross doesn’t represent death, it represents an anchor of life. When you stop focusing on the strength of the storm & realize the strength of your…

What a great word… really needed to hear this

In chapter 1 and 2, Daniel was there with Shadrach, Meshach and Abendego through everything. We get to chapter 3 and see that there is no Daniel. It was time for those 3 to stand up for their own.. without their Daniel.

Guys, Its time for you to branch out on your own. Do something for yourself….

I am waiting, waiting on you Lord

This song is speaking to my life so much.

I am waiting, just waiting on you Lord.

Things in my life need changed. Things need to happen. The right things and people and building and oppurtunities need to fall into place.

But I am waiting… waiting on you Lord.

I’m waiting
I’m waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I’m waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I’m waiting
I will serve You
While I’m waiting
I will worship
While I’m waiting
I will not faint
I’ll be running the race
Even while I wait

I’m waiting
I’m waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I’m waiting on You, Lord
Though it’s not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting
I will serve you while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting on You, Lord

Lets me build a role-play scenario for you; You are 42 years old, raised Christian your entire life and married a good Christian spouse. You take your kids to church, weekly (or bi-weekly), and even hold home Bible studies. In other words, as far as you are concerned… you did everything right!

The truth is, I am not strong enough alone.

…Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28, NLT

I think this verse is just amazing. “Come to me who are weary, I will give you rest.” The fact that God is longing for our burdens, our sorrows, our achievements, our happiness… He wants our hearts. Once He’s got that, He’s got us. He wants to know you’re anixeties and worries. When you’re rejoicing and when you’re down. He wants every part of us. And when we give Him our heart… He gives us rest. Jesus will work everything out for your good. You will find rest and stillness in Him.

The world can be so crazy and busy. For some people, espeically me, it is rare that I can kick my feet back, close my eyes and just rest. Sometimes when struggles enter our life we take them in our own hands. We get heavy- hearted, depressed, anxious wanting everything to work out like we want it to. It stresses us out even more! Ever hear the common saying “God won’t give you something you can’t handle”? WRONG! Although the overused saying is used by people in the church, pastors, people who arent even Christians… its not true. God wont give you anything you cant handle alone. He’ll give you something you can handle with and through Him! So stop trying to take matters into your own hands, lean on God. Give Him your problems and trust Him. Wait patiently upon Him, He always comes through. Like I always say, Hes always faithful. He’s going to handle it way better than you ever could alone!

One last thought, often peoples perception of Christians are they are “better than everyone else” or “stuck-up and perfect”. Well I want to nip that idea in the butt. I am a Christian because I am not perfect. Because I hurt people, I mess up. I am the last thing from perfect. I cant handle things on my own. I need Jesus. I need a Saviour. I need a constand. A friend who is closer than a brother. I need someone who can change anything to work for my favor. I need a father who loves me so much He sent His son to be crucified for me. I need Jesus. I neeeeeed Him! And thats why I am a Christian. Not to condemn or judge. I am a Christian to love. To show this broken world, the love of Jesus Christ, for there is no greater love.
